Hilton Head Plantation Wedding | Matt + Logan
Spring Wedding in Hilton Head
It was a dream come true to capture Logan and Matt’s wedding. Their ceremony at Dolphin Head Recreation Area and reception at Spring Lake Pavilion Hilton Head. Late-night fun, Southern charm, and beautiful, sentimental touches filled their Hilton Head Plantation wedding, making their day unforgettable.
Matt and Logan’s love story will last a lifetime. They met in the Honors dorm at the University of South Carolina, where they lived on the same floor, Hall 2B. Fast friends turned into something more; they were officially a couple by the second semester. The engraved “Hall 2B” inside Matt’s ring is a testament to the significance of this place in their journey. Together, their church community and deep friendships have formed the foundation of their relationship.
Her first look with her dad was a tear-jerker, and her bridesmaids’ reveal was equally joyful and excited. Although some of your bridesmaids may already be familiar with your wedding dress, getting a first look with them and seeing you fully dressed and ready brings out all the emotion and hype.
The newly renovated Dolphin Head Beachfront Park, with its lush trees and greenery, wooden pergola, and water backdrop, was the perfect setting for their ceremony. Under a wooden cross adorned with matching flowers to Logan’s bouquet, they said their vows in a ceremony filled with heartfelt moments. One of the most special was the laying of hands with the many pastors in their lives, a truly touching gesture. The ceremony’s florals were a mix of white with touches of blue and tropical accents, enhancing the natural beauty of the setting without being overly beach-themed.
Logan walked down the aisle to “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake, a song that perfectly summarized the joy and thankfulness of the day. This song speaks to Logan and Matt’s gratitude for their wedding day and the loving God they promise to honor with their lives and marriage.
The reception at Dolphin Head Spring Lake Pavilion was nothing short of spectacular. This new, two-story facility with its outdoor decks, fire pit, and charming gazebo was the perfect place for their celebration. The blue cheesecloth table runners and the neon sign with their last name added a coastal vibe, while the mismatched blue and white bridesmaids’ dresses complemented the ocean landscape beautifully.
Logan and Matt’s grand entrance into the Spring Lake Pavilion Hilton Head reception was energetic and exciting, with cheers and applause welcoming them and setting the stage for an evening of celebration. The reception overflowed with entertaining traditions and fun moments, including a chicken mask accompanying the chicken dance as a nod to Logan’s parents’ wedding. The family also performed the Italian dance Tarantella, bringing everyone together on the dance floor. To ensure they got photos with all their guests, Logan and Matt sat on the dance floor as each table ran up for a quick photo — a brilliant way to capture memories with everyone.
Their first dance to “At Last” by Etta James was a beautiful moment. Matt chose it because of its significance in scripture and the excitement it conveyed for their new life together. The celebration continued with lively dancing, and Logan’s spray-painted trucker hat with her new last name was an adorable touch.
As the night ended, Logan and Matt exited under a shower of sparklers, surrounded by their family and friends, lighting up the night with love.
Logan and Matt, capturing your Hilton Head Plantation wedding was an absolute pleasure. Your love and the meaningful touches you included made your day truly special. I wish you a lifetime of happiness. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments from this beautiful wedding day!
