Savannah and Andres’ wedding was a beautiful mix of classic elegance and relaxed coastal charm. Their love story, rooted in a shared respect for family, faith, and adventure, came to life in a celebration that beautifully captured the essence of the Lowcountry. Every detail reflected their unique journey, from the St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church ceremony to the tropical-inspired Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island wedding reception.
The day started with excitement as Savannah and her bridal party prepared for the celebration. Savannah wore the cutest white monogrammed pajamas, while her bridesmaids complemented her in chic black monogrammed sets. These little details made for some adorable and stylish getting-ready photos.
One of the most touching parts of the morning was Savannah’s first look with her brothers, followed by an emotional first look with her dad. Seeing their reactions to Savannah in her elegant gown, holding her bouquet of white flowers and tropical greenery, was a beautiful moment to capture.
Meanwhile, Andres and his groomsmen were ready to have some fun. They looked sharp and sophisticated, dressed in classic black suits and sage green ties. However, the show-stoppers were the three young ring-bearers. With their “ring security” sunglasses and mini briefcases, they added a playful touch that had everyone smiling.
The bridesmaids were stunning, each wearing a unique dress that fit their style. Some wore mismatched green and white tropical-patterned dresses, while others chose light green gowns. The bridesmaids wore different dresses, each perfectly complementing the tropical theme and Savannah’s bouquet, which featured tropical greenery and white flowers.
The couple exchanged vows at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church Bluffton, surrounded by family and friends. A particularly moving part of the ceremony was when their mothers lit a unity candle, symbolizing the joining of their families. Savannah and Andres’ faith shone through in this beautiful moment, highlighting the strength of their bond.
Savannah’s nephew was a sweet addition to the ceremony, who walked down the aisle right before her, carrying a sign that read, “Andrés, here comes the love of your life.”
As they exited the church, guests rang tiny bells to celebrate the newlyweds. In an unexpected twist, one guest had bubbles, which added a magical effect to the photos—a happy accident that turned into a standout memory!
The Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island wedding reception was a picture-perfect example of tropical elegance. Flowing white fabric and twinkling cafe lights draped the Pavilion, creating a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the couple’s tropical color palette of gold, sage, and white. Tables were adorned with tall glass vases filled with tropical flowers, perfectly tying in the beachy vibe Savannah and Andres envisioned.
Guests had fun with a photo guestbook, snapping selfies and leaving heartfelt wishes for the couple. Meanwhile, the dessert table was a hit, offering an array of cookies, pies, cupcakes, and macarons—a sweet finish to an incredible dinner.
As the sun set, Savannah and Andres headed to the beach for some stunning sunset photos. The light and the Sonesta’s lush, tropical grounds created a spectacular backdrop for intimate portraits. Afterward, we explored the resort’s lagoon and other scenic spots for more photos, making the most of the beautiful setting.
Back at the reception, the party was in full swing. Guests hit the dance floor with foam glow sticks, creating a lively atmosphere. Savannah made the practical (and adorable) choice to swap her heels for custom high-top sneakers embroidered with florals and “Mrs. Lopez,” assuring she could dance the night away in comfort and style.
Savannah and Andres’ Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island wedding perfectly captured their deep love for family and faith. From the tropical-inspired decor to the lively celebration, it was an unforgettable day filled with love and joy.
