Coast Discovery Museum | Neil + Jennie

Hilton Head Wedding Photographer
Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Hilton Head, Jennie and Neil celebrated their love with a stunning Coastal Discovery Museum wedding. This Lowcountry gem, with its centuries-old live oaks draped in Spanish moss and serene marsh views, set the stage for a romantic and unforgettable affair. As a Hilton Head wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting to capture their special day.
Jennie and Neil’s love story is as heartwarming as it is unique. They first met at Johnny’s Pizza in Grayson, Georgia, where Jennie was a bartender, and Neil was a regular customer. Over time, their friendship blossomed into something more, so it was only fitting that their wedding day featured a pizza truck in honor of how it all began!
Their Coastal Discovery Museum wedding ceremony took place under towering oak trees, a setting that held deep meaning for the couple since they also got engaged among the moss-covered branches. White florals with hints of blue and baby’s breath lined the aisle, complementing Jennie’s bouquet and tying in with the wedding’s elegant sage, gold, and oyster-inspired palette.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was when Neil’s groomsman brought their young son, Fischer, down the aisle to him. Neil held Fischer in his arms as Jennie walked toward them, making for a truly unforgettable entrance. As the ceremony continued, Fischer adorably stood beside his parents, ensuring he was part of every moment. After saying their vows, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle with Fischer perched happily on Neil’s shoulders, a perfect symbol of their little family’s love.
The reception occurred under the Pavilion at the Coastal Discovery Museum, a 4,000-square-foot covered space that exudes charm and refinement. White linens covered the tables, accented by sage napkins wrapped around oyster shells and candlelit glass vases filled with florals. Twinkling bistro lights overhead cast a warm glow, while the grand brick fireplace and outdoor firepit added to the cozy atmosphere.
The pizza and beer trucks gave guests a relaxed yet tasteful dining experience, honoring the couple’s love story. Instead of a traditional cake cutting, Jennie and Neil shared a slice of pizza, which was a fun and personal touch.
As the night went on, the dance floor came alive, with guests of all ages joining in on the celebration. Colorful glasses and glow sticks lit up the dance floor, adding excitement to the ambiance. The energy was electric, and it was clear that this wedding was as much about joy and fun as it was about romance.
To close out their incredible Coastal Discovery Museum wedding, Jennie and Neil made a joyful grand exit through a tunnel of bubbles, surrounded by their loved ones. It was a fun and unforgettable way to end their perfect day.
A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Rose Weddings for their incredible planning and attention to detail. Every element came together seamlessly, creating a truly magical experience for Jennie and Neil. As a Hilton Head wedding photographer, I feel honored to have captured this unforgettable celebration at such a stunning Lowcountry venue.
