Agapae Oaks Wedding | Sam + Haley

Haley and Sam’s Agapae Oaks Wedding was an absolute dream on a gorgeous March day, with happiness all around. This stunning coastal venue on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, continues to be one of my favorites, and this spring wedding showcased its beauty effortlessly.
With a classic black and white color palette accented by fresh greenery, Haley and Sam chose a look they loved for its timeless, elegant feel.
We started the morning in the charming getting-ready space inside the Main House. Haley and her girls wore adorable matching pajama sets, with soft blue for the bridesmaids and white for the bride, and the colors looked beautiful against the soft, natural light of the room. Haley sat on the bed surrounded by the special women in her life, a photo she’ll always have to remember the ones who stood by her side on one of the most important days of her life. I loved how the bridesmaids’ blue PJs echoed the tones of the room.
As the day unfolded, I found myself sewing on Haley’s bridal belt, and the sweet thank-you email I received the next day from her mom totally made my week. I genuinely love helping my brides with those behind-the-scenes moments the most.
Haley and her bridesmaids looked classic in floor-length black dresses, each with a unique cut that reflected their own personal style. The white rose bouquets with touches of greenery and baby’s breath were elegant and fresh, a combination that paired beautifully with the sleek color palette. Sam and his groomsmen wore matching black suits with crisp white shirts, keeping the look cohesive and polished.
Their ceremony took place on the grounds of the venue, surrounded by the natural beauty of majestic trees near the wedding space. They chose a wooden cross for their altar, which perfectly complemented the serene, Lowcountry setting. A touching part of the ceremony was knowing that their officiant was a lifelong family friend of Haley’s, which added such a personal layer to the entire experience.
Agapae Oaks has this incredible ability to look different every season; every time, it’s beautiful in a new way. From the sun-drenched marsh dock to the tree-lined paths, we moved around the grounds, capturing sweet, candid moments between Haley and Sam. These are the kind of Agapae Oaks wedding photos I live for.
The tented reception that followed was pure joy. Party lights twinkled as guests gathered under the tent, and the energy was vibrant from the very start. One of my favorite surprises of the night was when Sam pulled off the sweetest dance with Haley’s grandmother, which brought tears to my eyes behind the camera.
The reception was full of thoughtful, fun touches, including a little birthday celebration for one lucky guest! Haley and Sam also gave a nod to their life in Nashville, donning black and white cowboy hats at the reception, making for some fun dance floor photos. As the night rolled on, Haley changed into a chic one-piece jumpsuit along with a feather boa and fully embraced the party.
They ended the evening in classic, sparkler-sendoff style, surrounded by their favorite people. It was the perfect exclamation mark on such a joyful day.
Haley and Sam, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding. I’ll never forget the love, beauty, and all the little moments that filled your day. It was such an honor to photograph every piece of it.
If you dream of a coastal celebration with historic charm and stunning scenery, an Agapae Oaks Wedding is truly special. Scroll on to see some of my favorite Agapae Oaks wedding photos from Haley & Sam’s gorgeous spring day.
