Early fall in Hilton Head arrives with a soft golden warmth, the kind that makes the moss-covered trees feel even more enchanting. Summer and Nikolas’s Moss Creek Country Club Wedding was thoughtful and heartfelt, a day that reflected who they are and the love they share.
Their story began on Hinge, where they shared what they both described as the best first date of their lives. From that moment on, they became each other’s constant support through career changes, new opportunities, and life’s unexpected turns. They always found ways to care for one another, to lift each other, and to be the positive presence the other needed. They even thanked Hinge in their welcome speech, and it added a lighthearted moment to the evening.
Summer and Nikolas chose Moss Creek Country Club for its personal meaning and beauty. Nikolas’s family is members of the club, and it offered the perfect space for both their rehearsal and wedding-day celebrations. For Summer and Nikolas, it was important to find a venue that held significance for both of them, and Moss Creek did just that. The property reminded Summer of Savannah, with its moss-covered trees and serene Lowcountry charm, a place she has always loved.
Summer and Nikolas chose a color palette of greens and neutrals for their wedding day. The bridesmaids wore different shades of green, and the touches of greenery throughout the décor felt intentional. With their last name being Green, they thought it would be fun to see the welcome sign reading “Welcome to the Green Wedding” alongside the property’s natural greenery, adding a playful, meaningful detail to the day.
A soft rain fell throughout the day at Moss Creek Country Club. The girls got ready together in a room filled with anticipation. Summer wore a silk white robe while the bridesmaids, including the flower girl, wore matching sage green robes. When she changed into her gown, a white dress with a delicate floral lace bodice and flowing A-line skirt, the look was timeless and elegant. Her bouquet of white blooms, eucalyptus, and mixed greenery complemented the fall-inspired color palette perfectly. Meanwhile, Nikolas and his groomsmen wore cream-colored suits with green ties. They shared some fun moments together, enjoying drinks and laughter, and Nikolas took time to read a heartfelt letter from Summer.
Their ceremony took place at the Moss Creek Clubhouse, where the outdoor setting kept them covered from the rain while still showcasing the natural beauty of the property. The wooden arbor under which Nikolas and Summer said their vows was draped in white fabric and adorned with florals matching Summer’s bouquet. When Summer walked down the aisle, Nikolas’s joy was unmistakable. Behind them, the Spanish moss and water created a serene, natural backdrop for their vows.
After the ceremony, we captured portraits of the family and the wedding party, followed by Summer and Nikolas around the property. The Moss Creek wedding venue offers a variety of spots, from the moss-covered oaks to the water’s edge, and the changing light, including the perfect cotton candy sunset, making it ideal for beautiful images.
The reception was elegant and inviting, with tables covered in white linens, greenery laid across the center, clusters of candles, and gold accents that matched the chargers and Chiavari chairs. Following the first dances, cake cutting, and speeches, the dance floor came alive. Guests enjoyed a late-night pizza delivery, a fun and casual ending to a memorable day.
As the night came to a close, guests gathered to celebrate Summer and Nikolas as they stepped into married life. It was a joyful ending to a day that balanced sincere moments with effortless elegance.
