Paige and David’s celebration at Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort was the perfect blend of beachy charm and Southern low country romance. As a Fripp Island Photographer, I’m constantly inspired by the island’s quiet beauty. From the secluded shoreline to the soft dunes and glowing golden hour light, it’s always breathtaking. It’s a setting that feels intimate and unhurried, and it suited Paige and David’s love story so beautifully.
Their story is decades in the making. Their dads have been best friends since they were young, and Paige and David have known each other since they were babies. There is even a photo of them together as little ones. Though they grew up around each other, it wasn’t until years later, after college and a chance meeting at a bar, that everything changed. From that night on, they’ve been inseparable. There was something incredibly meaningful about photographing a Fripp Island Wedding where two families, already woven together for years, officially became one.
The morning began with the sweetest energy. The bridesmaids wore matching plaid pajamas while Paige glowed in white silky pajamas, a dreamy start to the day. All of their siblings stood beside them in the bridal party, which made every moment feel even more personal. Paige shared a first look with her dad, who wore a suit matching the groomsmen and a tie with a photo sewn inside, a simple detail that carried deep meaning.
Paige stepped into an elegant white strapless gown with detached sleeves and a shoulder-length veil, perfectly reflecting her vision of a dreamy, golden wedding day. Her bouquet of orchids, ranunculus, roses, and soft greenery felt light, organic, and perfectly suited for a beachside November wedding. The bridesmaids wore neutral dresses in varying styles, each holding simple bundles of white calla lilies. After portraits together, I loved capturing Paige with each bridesmaid individually, as those one-on-one moments often become treasured memories.
Their ceremony took place on the beach at the Fripp Island Resort, where white ribbons lined the walkway railing. Two lush floral arrangements framed Paige and David as they said their vows, the ocean stretching endlessly behind them. Afterward, we gathered all the guests for a group photo; a rare and joyful moment to document everyone who traveled to celebrate this Fripp Island Wedding. As the sun dipped low, I stole Paige and David away for golden hour portraits along the shoreline. They are playful, affectionate, and completely at ease together, and their photos reflect that love effortlessly.
The reception at the Fripp Island Beach Club carried the celebration forward in the most inviting way. White linens, blush napkins, single calla lilies in glass vases, and tall taper candles created a soft, romantic glow. Wooden cross-back chairs added the perfect low-country touch. Guests left messages for the couple on custom Fripp Island decks of cards. The keepsake felt especially meaningful, as Paige’s family has been vacationing here for almost 20 years.
After heartfelt toasts, special dances, and cake cutting, the dance floor came alive with glow sticks and laughter. It was the perfect ending to a day rooted in history, friendship, and a love that feels both youthful and enduring.
