Ashton and Schenley’s Rose Hill Mansion Wedding was the perfect combination of Southern charm, beautiful Lowcountry scenery, and a celebration that felt completely true to them as a couple. Set beneath towering live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, their warm May wedding day reflected everything they love most about Bluffton. With childhood memories for Ashton and beautiful oak trees for Schenley, Rose Hill Mansion was the perfect fit.
They first met at a bar, and after years of friendship, their relationship grew into something even more meaningful. Through life’s highs and lows, they’ve remained by each other’s side, and it was easy to see the strength of that connection throughout their wedding day.
The day began with preparations at the mansion, a stunning historic home surrounded by breathtaking grounds. Schenley looked absolutely beautiful in her elegant off-the-shoulder satin gown, featuring a structured bodice and full A-line skirt that created a classic bridal silhouette. She carried a cascading bouquet of white and light blue flowers accented with flowing greenery. One of my favorite details was her vintage-inspired white heels, which featured a delicate blue floral pattern and a Mary-Jane design that perfectly complemented the wedding’s blue color palette.
Ashton and his groomsmen looked equally sharp in light gray suits paired with white shirts, bright blue ties, matching pocket squares, and white rose boutonnieres. The bridesmaids added beautiful color to the day in floor-length dresses ranging from turquoise to teal and emerald green, carrying coordinating bouquets of white and pale blue blooms.

Before the ceremony, I had the chance to photograph their invitation suite, which beautifully reflected the setting of their wedding day. The design featured live oak trees, Spanish moss, and nature-inspired details that tied everything together.
Their ceremony took place beneath the property’s iconic oak trees. Instead of a traditional floral arch, flowing white fabric was draped from the branches overhead, creating a simple yet elegant backdrop for their vows. The setting felt incredibly romantic and perfectly suited the timeless atmosphere of this Mansion at Rose Hill Wedding.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of having the property to ourselves and explored the grounds for portraits. One of the highlights was including their dog, who joined them wearing a coordinating gray outfit that matched Ashton’s suit. It was such a sweet way to include an important member of their family in the celebration.
The mansion itself is absolutely stunning, but the surrounding property is equally beautiful. Every turn offered another gorgeous backdrop, from the sprawling lawns to the majestic oak trees that make this venue so special. It’s easy to see why couples fall in love with hosting a Rose Hill Mansion Wedding here.
As the evening continued, guests gathered beneath a tented reception space filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration. The dance floor stayed busy throughout the night as family and friends celebrated Ashton and Schenley’s new marriage. They fully embraced every moment, spending time on the dance floor and soaking in the joy of being surrounded by their favorite people.
The night ended with a bubble send-off, creating the perfect ending to a beautiful wedding day. Ashton and Schenley, thank you for allowing me to capture such a special celebration. Your Mansion at Rose Hill Wedding was filled with so much love, joy, and meaningful moments, and I feel honored to have been part of it. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and adventures together.
