Zoe and Henry’s wedding at Hilton Head Sonesta was an absolute joy from start to finish. Their love story is as charming as it gets, with their journey from college to graduate school culminating in a beautiful wedding day filled with love, family, and cherished traditions.
A warm October sun shone down on the wedding day, creating the ideal atmosphere. Zoe and Henry chose their wedding at Hilton Head Sonesta for its proximity to the beach and its sentimental value for Zoe’s family, who have been visiting the island for years. The venue’s Southern landscapes, including its beautiful beaches and oak trees, provided a stunning backdrop for their special day.
One of the day’s highlights was Zoe and Henry’s first look, which was filled with genuine smiles and emotions. Zoe had insisted on a first look that felt natural and unposed, and the moment was truly magical. Their dog even joined in on the festivities, walking down the aisle with the groomsmen and bridesmaids.
The ceremony beautifully blended Zoe and Henry’s Jewish and Catholic backgrounds, with special touches like the Ketubah signing, using Zoe’s grandmother’s diamond as her engagement ring, and placing her grandmother’s dress over the chuppah. Using her grandma’s dress during the ceremony was a special nod to her grandma, mom, and aunt, who wore it for their weddings. Henry also followed Jewish tradition by breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony, surrounded by both sets of parents, who walked the bride and groom down the aisle and remained at the chuppah throughout the ceremony. These special touches made capturing their wedding at Hilton Head Sonesta a dream come true!
As the day turned to evening, Zoe and Henry took a stroll to the beach to capture some stunning sunset photos, a perfect end to a perfect day. The reception was lively, with everyone hitting the dance floor and even lifting the couple and both sets of parents in chairs. And let’s not forget the cookie cake that looked absolutely delicious!
