Kristin and Steven’s Savannah Riverboat Cruise Wedding aboard the Georgia Queen was a magical celebration filled with nautical charm, timeless moments, and classic elegance.

The day started with a warm, overcast sky – a perfect backdrop for a fall wedding. As I arrived at the River Street Inn for the getting-ready photos, I couldn’t help but appreciate this historic hotel’s beautiful spaces and easy access to River Street or Bay Street for photos.

Kristin and Steven’s love story is as unique as they come. Meeting online and bonding over shared interests like scalloping, beagles, and The Righteous Gemstones show, they discovered a deep connection that eventually led them to declare their love for each other in the heart of Savannah. Their choice of venue, the Georgia Queen, wasn’t just about the stunning backdrop but also a nod to their first ‘I love you’ moment in this charming city.

The ceremony unfolded on the top deck of the Georgia Queen, offering a breathtaking view of the Talmadge Bridge and the Savannah River – a backdrop unlike any other. The nautical theme perfectly complemented the setting, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and grand.

What truly stood out to me was the couple’s attention to detail. Kristin’s vision of a classic yet old Hollywood-inspired wedding was flawlessly captured, with the added touch of personalization. Their photos in front of the Savannah Theatre marquee with their names and wedding date were a fun testament to their love story.

I had the pleasure of suggesting a trolley ride for more photo opportunities after the first look, and we explored two charming squares, adding to the visual narrative of their special day.

The Georgia Queen served as the ceremony site and as the venue for a lively reception. The top deck, with its panoramic views, provided a perfect setting for a memorable evening. The bride’s dress change added an extra layer of elegance, and the night concluded with guests joyfully showering them with bubbles as they bid farewell.

Working with Kristin and Steven was an absolute delight. Their testimonial warms my heart, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their love story.
