A warm fall day was the lovely atmosphere for Savannah and Chip’s Sonesta Hilton Head Wedding in fall. This fun-loving couple brought magic to their celebration and enjoyed this breathtaking day on the shores of Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Savannah and Chip’s journey began in the vibrant atmosphere of a college party. Fast forward to University of Louisville football games, concerts, and walks with their dog. Their love story is a beautiful mix of friendship, commitment, and the undeniable connection that kept bringing them back together.
With multiple family beach vacations influencing Savannah’s love for the beach, she shared with me, “I never had a lot of ideas for a wedding, but the Sonesta is everything I didn’t know I wanted out of a venue” and became the perfect coastal backdrop for their enchanting day. To make things even more special, Delaney, the venue coordinator and a key figure in the Sonesta experience, happens to be Savannah’s cousin, whom she considers a sister. The family connection added an extra layer of warmth to the day.
The ring-warming tradition was one of the most heartwarming moments during the ceremony. Passing the rings through the bridal party and then to the first-row family members created a beautiful, shared energy of love and support. Plus, butterflies graced the bouquet while the bride was handed from her father to her husband, adding an enchanting touch to the moment.
A Hilton Head Wedding Filled with Color
As a Hilton Head photographer, I was thrilled with the abundance of colors, the heartfelt ceremony moments, and the couple’s portraits against the backdrop of the Sonesta’s diverse settings. The weather and lighting were perfect, allowing us to explore various spots beyond the beach. Savannah and Chip’s choice of tan suits for the groom and groomsmen, paired with dusty pink dresses for the bridesmaids, created a harmonious color palette. The bouquets, bursting with tropical colors, added a vibrant touch to the overall aesthetic.
The first look and reception reveal were emotional and touching. Delaney, a cousin and a crucial part of the bridal party, worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect. It was a true family effort, and the love and support were palpable throughout the day.
I had the pleasure of helping Savannah and Chip find other fantastic vendors for their day, including hair and makeup artists and a talented videographer. Collaborating with a dream team to make a couple’s vision come to life is always a joy.
Savannah and Chip found me through Sonesta’s vendor list, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of their special day. Their laid-back, goofy, and fun-loving personalities made every moment a delight to capture. Wishing these two a lifetime of love, laughter, and countless University of Louisville games together!
