Wedding at The Beaufort Inn Rooftop
Tyler and Alex’s wedding was the epitome of modern Southern charm, set against the stunning backdrop of the Old Bay Marketplace Loft & Rooftop Deck. As a Beaufort SC wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day or a sweeter couple to celebrate. From meaningful moments to lively dancing under the Lowcountry sky, their wedding reflected their fun personalities and deep connection.
After becoming close friends in high school, Tyler and Alex’s relationship grew stronger through college. Their journey had twists; being a year apart allowed them to grow individually, but reconnecting at a friend’s wedding in 2020 brought them back together, stronger than before.
The day began with Tyler getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, each wearing dresses in varying shades and styles of muted green, a nod to their natural color palette of sage, cream, and white. Tyler’s bridal look was classic yet modern, complemented by a bouquet adorned with photos of loved ones with her in spirit.
Alex and his groomsmen donned classic black suits with black bow ties, exuding elegance. The bride shared two emotional first looks. The first one with her family and another with her and Alex, creating a deeply memorable moment.
Set on the rooftop of the Beaufort Inn, their outdoor ceremony was framed by a round altar adorned with white drapery and florals that mirrored Tyler’s bouquet. The rooftop provided a stunning backdrop, with views of downtown Beaufort and the neutral tones of the building’s brick, adding to the modern Southern vibe.
The reception continued on the rooftop, where shades of green and white blended beautifully into the décor. Bistro lights twinkled overhead as guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, traditional dances, and an evening of celebration.
One of my favorite details was the cake server. It was a meaningful heirloom from a 50th wedding anniversary, connecting generations of love and commitment.
Tyler later changed into a chic short dress, perfect for dancing the night away with Alex and their guests. Neon party favors lit up the dance floor, adding a vibrant touch to the festivities.
As a fun twist, Tyler and Alex treated guests to pizza from a favorite local spot as a late-night snack, adding a casual and delicious touch everyone loved.
Before the night fully descended, I whisked Tyler and Alex away for some golden hour photos. The Lowcountry sunset bathed them in a dreamy orange glow, providing a breathtaking backdrop for some of my favorite images of the day.
The evening concluded with a t-shirt toss during the reception, followed by a magical bubble send-off as Tyler and Alex exited. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
