Private Forsyth Park Elopement on a Chilly Day

Wedding Elopement in Forsyth Park | Dylan + Taylor

There’s something magical about a Forsyth Park elopement. The way the Spanish moss drapes over the ancient oaks, the soft golden light filtering through the leaves. Taylor and Dylan’s elopement was truly special.

These two have been friends for years, and their relationship unfolded naturally, and before they knew it, they were planning a wedding. Though they didn’t have a traditional proposal, they both knew they wanted to marry one another.

Taylor chose Savannah for the wedding because of the unique beauty of its trees and the subtle sense of mystery they create. With its towering oaks and draping Spanish moss, Forsyth Park was the perfect setting to bring that vision to life. The way the light filters through the branches creates a unique, almost mesmerizing atmosphere that feels perfect for their special day.

They stood beneath the ancient oaks, holding their beloved dog (who looked precious in her tiny dress!) Taylor and Dylan exchanged vows, even taking a moment to mention their three beloved cats, who couldn’t be there but were there in spirit.

One of my favorite details about their day was how Taylor and Dylan infused their personality into every moment. Taylor carried a stunning bouquet bursting with vibrant pops of purple and orange, all tied together with a delicate blue ribbon. The mix of colors felt playful and bold, just like their love story.

After the ceremony, we wandered through the park, capturing portraits beneath the dreamy moss-covered branches, using the natural variations of Forsyth’s landscape to create a mix of soft, romantic, and strikingly moody images. I love how this park offers so many different textures and tones.

After exploring the park, Taylor and Dylan took a pedicab ride. It was such a fun moment, with them cozied up together, riding through the historic streets of Savannah. We stopped at The Olde Pink House, an iconic spot in the city, where its soft, rosy-colored walls perfectly contrast Taylor’s colorful bouquet and Dylan’s classic look.

There’s something so refreshing about elopements, stripping away all the noise and pressure of a big wedding, leaving behind what truly matters: love, connection, and a day that feels like you. Taylor and Dylan’s Forsyth Park elopement was a reflection of them.

It was an absolute joy to capture this chapter of their story. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from their elopement in Forsyth Park!
